The stack you'd need
The honest version of the stack

Covering it all takes a wall of apps.
Or one instrument.

This is the stack a self-coached lifter runs today. Every app on the wall is good at its piece, and not one of them talks to another.

RESISTX Does all of this, in one place

A subscription for every category, and none of them talk to each other. You're the one doing the connecting, in your head, between sets.

Named, on purpose

Cells were verified against each app's published feature lists in July 2026. Where we couldn't verify, we left the cell out rather than guessing. If we got something wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.

1 MacroFactor Workouts is a second, separate app; your training and nutrition still live apart. 2 Metric tracks the barbell (velocity in m/s, bar path, per-rep ROM) and needs the plates in frame, so machine, cable, dumbbell and Smith work is invisible to it. RESISTX reads whole-body movement on any exercise: concentric slowdown, rep-to-rep ROM consistency, cadence and left/right balance. RESISTX does not measure bar velocity in m/s. 3 MacroFactor's adaptive TDEE algorithm is excellent. RESISTX builds the same class of expenditure estimation into a system that also sees your training, blood work and body comp. 4 Function Health is a lab-testing service: it sells you tests and shows those results. RESISTX tracks the labs you already get, from any provider, off the PDF. 5 RESISTX records what you choose to track; it does not provide medical advice or dosing guidance. 6 GainFrame estimates body fat from a photo. Research puts single-photo estimates at roughly ±4-5% for an individual; RESISTX fuses DEXA, skinfolds and BIA instead. 7 "Partial" means logging works offline but core features assume a connection. RESISTX keeps the entire database, including food search, on-device.

The real comparison
The only true alternative

The honest alternative isn't more apps.
It's a coach.

A good coach is the only other thing that holds your whole picture: your logs, your weigh-ins, your check-in photos, your blood work, read together, week after week. That service starts at $100 a week.

A coach
$100+ per week

Chases your check-ins, holds the whole picture, and makes the calls. Worth it for the judgment. Expensive for the bookkeeping.

RESISTX
The whole picture, always on

Collects everything a coach would ask for and holds it on one timeline. The judgment stays yours. And if you do work with a coach, you'll be their favourite client.
